Add a New Journal Article

Journal article entries are made as we receive issues of the journal from the publishers.
If your philosophy article appeared in a journal that we do not regularly index, please submit the following information:

Author’s name(s) as it/they appear(s): (Family name first)
Article title
Article subtitle
Full journal title with subtitle (no abbreviations)
Volume, Issue Number and Year of Publication (including month and/or quarter if used; e.g., 25(4) Nov 2008, or 22(6) Summer 2008)
Page numbers: beginning and ending
Language of the article
ISSN of the journal (if the journal has no ISSN, write “No ISSN”)
Short Abstract in English (preferred), French, German, Italian or Spanish (Please do not exceed 150 words, and do not include logic symbols or Greek letters)
Please suggest 5-8 subject headings in English, including important named persons with complete first and last names.

Add a New Book (or an Anthology)

Please send one copy of the book or anthology to The Philosopher’s Index so that it can be reviewed and indexed. If this is not feasible, please submit the following information to be included in The Philosopher’s Index:

Author’s name(s) as it/they appear(s): (Family name first)
Book title (and subtitle, if applicable)
ISBN
Publisher’s name
Publication city
Year of publication
Language of the book
Short Abstract in English (preferred), French, German, Italian, or Spanish (Please do not exceed 150 words, and do not include logic symbols or Greek letters)
Please suggest 5-8 subject headings in English, including important named persons with complete first and last names.

Add a New Contribution to an Anthology

Please send one copy of the anthology to The Philosopher’s Index so that all of the articles/chapters can be reviewed and indexed. Alternatively, the anthology as a whole can be included by submitting it as a book. If the anthology cannot be supplied, a contribution to an anthology can be submitted provided you supply both the information about the anthology and the contribution itself.  Please provide the following:

Author’s name(s) of the contribution as it/they appear(s): (Family name first)
Contribution title
Contribution subtitle (if applicable)
Page numbers: beginning and ending
Language of the contribution
Short Abstract in English (preferred), French, German, Italian, or Spanish (Please do not exceed 150 words, and do not include logic symbols or Greek letters)
Please suggest 5-8 subject headings in English including important named persons with complete first and last names

In addition, we must have the following information for the book in which the contribution appears in order to “link” the contribution with the book in the electronic versions of The Philosopher’s Index.
